City of Corpus Christi Selects Texas Highway Products and NoTraffic to Modernize 77 Traffic Signals with AI-Powered Vehicle Detection Systems

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Corpus Christi, TX – October 2025 — The City of Corpus Christi has awarded a landmark project to Texas Highway Products (THP) and NoTraffic to install AI-driven Vehicle Detection across 77 traffic signal intersections, expanding on the city’s initial five connected sites. This large-scale deployment is part of Corpus Christi’s long-term strategy to create a smart, data-driven traffic management network that enhances safety, efficiency, and mobility for all road users.

The new systems use NoTraffic’s cloud-based AI platform, combining radar and video sensors to deliver precise detection and classification of vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. The platform’s rich module ecosystem and real-time traffic analytics allow the city to improve travel flow, reduce delays, and make faster, data-backed operational decisions.

“Corpus Christi is setting the pace for intelligent transportation in Texas,” said Giovanni de Vivo, President of Texas Highway Products. “This initiative is about more than detection, it’s about building a connected, future-ready foundation for smarter infrastructure and safer communities.”
